Dressed in an all-black ensemble, Cher made an appearance on the Croisette on Thursday to attend AmfAR‘s 30th Cannes Gala at the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc, joining celebrities and power players from around the world to help raise funds for HIV/AIDS research.
The singer arrived in a black floor-length dress and a complementary black fur jacket; her glittering silver platforms were barely visible beneath the flowing skirt. The form-fitting gown was designed with sheer sections, and her shoes matched her half-gloved hands.
Her signature long black hair, worn in waves, blended in seamlessly with the rest of the ensemble. Cher completed the look with a statement diamond choker necklace.
The “Believe” singer stopped on the red carpet to pose alongside her boyfriend Alexander Edwards and gala host Demi Moore, sharing affectionate moments. Joining Cher on the red carpet were many other stars dressed to the nines.
The beloved pop singer will perform for the gala’s guests just three days after celebrating her 78th birthday on May 20. A longtime supporter of amfAR, Cher once co-chaired the gala alongside HIV/AIDS advocate Elizabeth Taylor, who cofounded the organization.
