Chloë Grace Moretz embraced fall dressing in New York City on Thursday, making an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” in thigh-high leather boots.

Moretz — who is currently starring in the off-Broadway play “Caroline,” which runs until Nov. 16 — was captured en route to the talk show, clad in a pair of incredibly tall, attention-commanding shoes that reached just above her upper thigh. The boots hugged the actress’ legs, but were a bit slouchy around the knees. They boasted a skinny stiletto heel and a pointy, curved toe.

Styled by Nell Kalonji, Moretz gave the footwear the spotlight, wearing the silhouette underneath a long black fringe skirt from Simone Rocha. Her boots were layered atop black sheer tights, providing some extra warmth. On top, the “Carrie” alum kept it cozy in a bow and pearl-adorned gray cardigan, also courtesy of the London-based label.

On the accessories front, Moretz rocked a black choker, an early aughts-loved trend that’s reemerged with gusto this year. She finished the look with a few small hoop earrings. Moretz wore her hallmark blond hair in loose waves and opted for long, fluttery lashes and a glossy pink lip.

Moretz’s footwear choice read very of the moment, as thigh-high boots swept the fall 2025 runways. Dior, for instance, presented a chunky, lace-up platform silhouette. At Stella McCartney, a pair of slouchy patent leather square-toe boots stomped down the catwalk. Burberry, on the other hand, showed equestrian-like brown leather riding boots.

And Moretz isn’t the only celebrity leaning into the fall footwear trend. Case in point: Model Elsa Hosk attended the Ugg and Sacai launch party in brown suede thigh-high boots from the brands’ new collaboration. Ciara, too, co-signed the look, sitting front row at Off-White’s spring 2026 show last month in a black leather look with an aqua rubber platform.
