Dakota Fanning wore a classic sleeveless little black dress by Giorgio Armani on Friday to the 76th Emmys Performer Nominee Celebration held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. She kept her look minimalist, wearing her hair down with a middle part, pairing her knee-length dress with black strappy stilettos and adding just a bit of sparkle with a single ring.
Stylist Samantha McMillen, who works with Brie Larson, Daisy Ridley and Ana de Armas, coordinated her look.
“’90s baby,” Fanning captioned a photo of herself modeling the look on Instagram. Not only does the look channel ‘90s minimalism, but the number also shares a milestone with the designer himself, who turned 90 years old on July 11. In October, Armani’s brand will celebrate the opening of a new building in New York City on Madison Avenue in tandem with a presentation of the spring 2025 collection.
Fanning is nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her role in Netflix’s “Ripley.” She plays Marge Sherwood in the thriller miniseries based on Patricia Highsmith’s novel “The Talented Mr. Ripley.” Fanning’s character is married to Tom Ripley, played by Andrew Scott, who is also nominated for this year’s ceremony.
