Demi Moore gave power suiting a sleek, feminine spin on the red carpet for the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of her film “The Substance” on Thursday. The actress was joined by costar Margaret Qualley, who posed for photos alongside Moore at the red carpet event.
For the premiere, Moore opted for a tailored look courtesy of Thom Browne’s fall 2024 ready-to-wear collection. The sartorial ensemble featured a white button-down shirt with long sleeves and a sharp collar. Moore paired the top with a black maxi pencil skirt.
Among the notable elements featured in the look, Moore’s attire included a short black tie and ruched black fabric at the waist with details of corsetry. The actress paired the look with pointed-toe black pumps and Tiffany & Co. jewelry.

Thom Browne’s collection, which debuted in February at New York Fashion Week, presented a reimagining of Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Raven” on the runway with a mix of showstoppers and commercial looks. “That might be a chic-as-hell tuxedo ensemble, like the super high-waisted black cummerbund skirt, white shirt, necktie and black bolero with braided fringe that would turn heads anywhere, or a great piece of outerwear for everyday, such as the elegant black overcoat with dropped grosgrain trimmed lapels,” WWD’s Booth Moore reported.
Moore wore four distinct pieces from the jewelry brand. The actress accessorized her outfit with the Tiffany Victoria diamond vine drop earrings in platinum, the Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany stitches ring and 16 stone ring and the Jean Schlumberger by Tiffany Sea Star Brooch, which she pinned to her skirt.
Qualley, an ambassador for Chanel, wore a dress from the French luxury fashion house’s fall 2024 couture collection, which debuted during Paris Couture Week last June. The look included a cap element, along with black bows for a feminine touch.
Moore and Qualley previously attended Cannes Film Festival together for the world premiere of “The Substance.” While attending events during the international film festival, Moore was styled in looks by Oscar de la Renta, Schiaparelli and Celine among others.
The 2024 Toronto International Film Festival began Thursday and concludes on Sept. 15. Films screening include “The Substance,” starring Moore and Qualley, Sean Baker’s Palme d’Or-winning “Anora,” Nicole Kidman’s new film “Babygirl” and Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis,” among other titles.
