LONDON — Diamond jewelry brand Jessica McCormack is opening its second U.S. store at South Coast Plaza, with pastel interiors inspired by the California sun and nods to the brand’s British roots in the furniture and floral fabrics.
The boutique, which spans 1,600 square feet, is set to open this week. It is the company’s fourth stand-alone retail location, and its first on the West Coast. The South Coast Plaza store follows the opening of the brand’s first U.S. unit last year, a flagship on Madison Avenue in Manhattan.
An announcement is expected Wednesday.

Leonie Brantberg, chief executive officer of Jessica McCormack, said that with a high proportion of U.S. clients and an American ambassador in Zoë Kravitz, “expansion into the U.S. has long been a part of our growth strategy. This expansion began with our Madison Avenue store, which opened last year to strong demand from both new and existing clients. South Coast Plaza is the next step in that plan.”
Brantberg added that since opening in New York, California has driven the brand’s largest volume of web orders globally and become its fastest-growing segment on social media.
“This opening will give that audience the real experience, the chance to see the collection and craftsmanship in person, not just online. South Coast Plaza is one of the premier luxury shopping destinations on the West Coast, with an extremely thoughtful curation of brands, so we’re in great company,” she said.
Asked how U.S. customers are buying the collections, Brantberg said that “being relatively new to the market, our U.S. clients are often seeing our core collections in person for the first time. But despite this they are shopping with real confidence, and gravitating towards higher-carat weights than we typically see in the U.K.”
She said the average transaction value in the U.S. runs “slightly higher” than in the U.K. stores, too, “reflecting both the strength of the market and the trust clients are placing in the brand early on.”
As always, designer Jessica McCormack did the interiors herself, with help from British residential architects. “I really enjoy doing it. We always like to create a little home that’s part-jewelry store, part-art gallery with a library and antiques. The store adds so much to the experience,” said McCormack.
McCormack said South Coast Plaza is slightly different from the other stores, and reflects the Southern California sunshine. “The wood is lighter than in London or Madison Avenue, while the color palette is yellow, pink, blue and white,” she said.
There are also Mauny hand-printed wallpapers inspired by 18th- and 19th-century historical revivals; Italian glass lighting; floral fabric from Lee Jofa; wooden cabinets from Pinch, and a Rose Uniacke desk. Artwork includes Wilhelmina Barns-Graham’s “Porthmeor (Wind Movement) (1996).”
The store will carry the brand’s signature “day diamonds,” and bestselling summer collections which have names like Beaches, Hello Sailor, Fruit Salad and Medallions. It will also carry her upcoming collection, Bows, which launches Sept. 10.
Anton Segerstrom, partner at South Coast Plaza, said: “We are delighted that Jessica McCormack has chosen South Coast Plaza to open her second U.S. store and first West Coast location. Her followers can discover the extraordinary new boutique and personal service that has made her brand so beloved.”
The brand has two stores in London — a flagship at 7 Carlos Place in Mayfair, with an in-house workshop, and a unit at 140 Sloane Street. In 2025, Jessica McCormack opened its first international store at 743 Madison Avenue in New York, and its first concession at Harrods in London.
As reported, Jessica McCormack is also planning a Rodeo Drive flagship that is set to open in 2027. That store will be located at 437 North Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, with neighbors including Hermès, Burberry and other top jewelry houses.
The brand has been positioning itself as an alternative to heritage, big-name jewelry houses and independent art jewelers and said it continues to champion “day diamonds,” or fine jewelry designed to be worn every day.
It is backed by Lingotto Horizon, which is owned by the Agnelli family’s Exor holding, and long-standing shareholders connected to the Oppenheimer family. Sales grew 60 percent in 2025, and Jessica McCormack was named by Exor among the fastest growing names in its luxury portfolio.
Growth is coming from signature collections, such as the Ball & Chain necklace, Gypset earrings, and Button Back styles, as well as new launches such as Orbit, which is inspired by the symmetry of the planets and designed to layer “in orbit” around the wearer. The brand said a “strong returning customer” has been a big driver behind sales.
