Akeem Rasool has been named the new director of Supreme New York, one of the fashion talent management companies within Elite World Group.

There hasn’t been a director for over a year. The last person to hold that role was Donat Barrault-Stephens, who left the company.

Rasool will take the helm of Supreme as it approaches its 25th anniversary. He starts today, and reports to Anthony Bourgois, president of Women Management and Supreme Management U.S.

“I am incredibly excited to continue my journey with Elite World Group and honored to accept the role of director of Supreme,” said Rasool. “The legacy of Supreme has always been about storytelling through powerful imagery, and I look forward to honoring that legacy while shaping its future with a modern, forward-thinking focus. I’m deeply motivated by the talented team supporting my vision as we embark on this exciting new chapter together.”

Rasool will lead Supreme New York alongside the team, combined with experienced managers from both the Supreme and Women networks. Earlier in his career, Rasool spent years at DNA Models and most recently Women New York, where he was director of image. After joining Elite World Group in August 2021, Rasool was pivotal in reestablishing Women New York as a presence in high fashion.

Rasool has also been instrumental in Naomi Campbell‘s continued global success and has been her longtime agent. Campbell will be leaving the Women New York board to join Rasool at Supreme — both of which are part of EWG. Earlier in their careers, they were together at DNA Models.

“Akeem was an obvious choice to come in and lead Supreme New York. After working alongside him for over three years, and seeing the success he brought into Women New York, there is no better person to come in and drive the roster into a new direction and to establish Supreme New York as a major player in the fashion talent industry,” said Bourgois.

Paolo Barbieri, Elite World Group chief executive officer, said, “I am truly convinced that under Akeem and his team leadership, Supreme New York will grow as the fourth big pillar of our multi-boutique group, together with Elite Model World, The Society Management and Women Management.”
