Golden Globe Awards 2024 nominees Emma Stone and Danielle Brooks attended the Variety Creative Impact Awards and 10 Directors to Watch at the 2024 Palm Springs International Film Festival on Friday in Palm Springs, Calif. Stone presented the Creative Impact in Directing Award to “Poor Things” director Yorgos Lanthimos.
The event also saw Penélope Cruz being honored with the Creative Impact in Acting Award, which was presented to her by Sean Penn. Anna Kendrick, who was honored for her directorial debut “Woman of the Hour,” also joined the celebrity guests at the event.
Here, WWD takes a closer look at the style moments from the Variety’s Creative Impact Awards.
Penélope Cruz
Cruz, the current star of “Ferrari,” channeled Cher Horowitz from “Clueless” in a pink tweed set. Her look was from Chanel’s spring 2024 collection and featured a chevron trim, trompe-l’œil floral lapels and an asymmetrical miniskirt.
Danielle Brooks
Danielle Brooks, nominated for a Golden Globe award as Best Supporting Actress for her role in “The Color Purple,” wore piped trousers and a robe coat cinched at the waist. Styled by Jennifer Austin, Brooks completed her look with black chunky loafers.
Anna Kendrick
Styled by Jordan Johnson Chung, Kendrick wore a black minidress by Self-Portrait covered in sequins. She completed the look with black T-strap platform pumps.
Emma Stone
Stone donned a layered Givenchy look. She fastened the boxy blazer with a skinny belt in lieu of buttons. Underneath, a black lace midi dress skimmed the ankles.
