While it may feel like fall just arrived, holiday time is already here, and with the changing seasons comes not only the perfect excuse to shop the coziest knits or edgiest boots, but also a fresh host of holiday fashion campaigns from the most classic brands. The “most wonderful time of the year” already brings great joy, and designers are only adding to the excitement by featuring some of our favorite stars in their holiday marketing.
Coach is one of the first to kick off the 2023 holiday fashion ad season, but with an unconventional twist. The brand’s ethical fashion lab Coachtopia launched “A Wasty Holiday,” a campaign that’s focused on bringing awareness to the wasteful behavior associated with the festive season, where between 25 and 43 percent more waste is created than any other time of year. The sustainably inspired project is also launching in line with a film starring actor and Coachtopia community member Lola Tung. In the clip, Tung makes a resolution to transform holiday waste into innovative creations, ultimately inspiring people to make a more circular fashion economy.
Calvin Klein‘s holiday campaign also stayed true to the joyful energy of the season, starring Brandon Flynn and Hailey Bieber. Directed and shot by James Brodribb, the brand subtly taps into the quiet-luxury trend with Bieber effortlessly posing braless in the quintessential black slip dress in a mirrored room. She’s also seen in other pieces from the traditional collection, including maxi slip dresses, fuzzy sweaters, and a cutout minidress. On the mens fashion front, Flynn shows his best dance moves in a burgundy cotton sweater and the brand’s signature denim. In another shot, he sports Calvin Klein’s most updated underwear style – the Future Shift Holiday Low Rise Trunk.
