PARIS — As it plots further retail expansion in the U.S., Akris has named Jimmy Yeh chief executive officer of the Americas region, effective Wednesday.

He succeeds Peter Herink, who held the position for a decade. Yeh is based in New York City and reports to Melissa Beste, global CEO of the Swiss luxury women’s ready-to-wear brand.

He is charged with overseeing the planned rollout of new stores and concessions this year, including a flagship on Chicago’s prestigious Oak Street, and increasing the brand’s marketing efforts and digital impressions, Akris said in a statement shared first with WWD.

Yeh joins Akris from Dolce & Gabbana, where he was vice president of retail, North America. Prior to that, he held senior roles within Chanel and Louis Vuitton’s U.S. divisions.
