MILAN — Parachute, the bedding brand founded in Venice, Calif., in 2014, has partnered with Birkenstock for the brand’s latest clog. The company told WWD Thursday that the Zermatt Premium slipper is priced at $180 and has been crafted with suede features, a shearling lining and an outer sole meant for luxurious lounging indoors or outdoors. Parachute has also paired its own organic terry gauze robe with the shoe. Both will be available through the Parachute and Birkenstock sites for a limited time starting Friday online and in stores.
Parachute’s founder Ariel Kaye said the company has had its eye on a partnership with Birkenstock for years. “Their shoes may as well be part of our company’s uniform being that they are such a staple in the laid-back Los Angeles aesthetic,” she told WWD, adding she owns 12 pairs of Birkenstocks. “Both Parachute and Birkenstock share an ethos around quality and comfort and have built a real authentic trust and connection with our customers,” she added.
This year, Parachute also collaborated with rapper Tyler, The Creator‘s brand Golf le Fleur, known for its colorful apparel and accessories.
