Briony Raymond, the New York-based fine jeweler known for her meticulous craftsmanship, has unveiled her debut fragrance. The luxury Eau de Parfum marks a new chapter for the brand, reflecting Raymond’s belief that beauty is most resonant when it carries meaning.
The fragrance was shaped by Raymond’s lifelong connection to scent, which began in childhood. “Fragrance has always felt deeply personal to me. It’s invisible, yet it has this extraordinary ability to make a moment unforgettable,” she told WWD. “Creating a fragrance felt like a natural evolution of what we do at the atelier, a way to offer another form of adornment that carries emotion and meaning.”
The scent’s composition is rooted in memory and emotion. “The BR Fragrance was inspired by the idea of memory as a form of luxury, how a scent can instantly transport you to a moment in your life, much like a piece of jewelry can,” Raymond said. “As a child, I would line up my mother’s perfume bottles and mix Lily-of-the-Valley from our garden with oil and water to fill the empty flacons, convinced I could create a fragrance of my own. That early sense of wonder stayed with me, and this perfume is the grown-up realization of that dream.”

The fragrance features a blend of white florals — jasmine sambac, tuberose, neroli and orange flower — paired with stone fruits and honey for a juicy depth, and grounded by frankincense, cedarwood, sandalwood and cashmeran. Raymond described the process as a careful study of the moments that shaped her, with each note refined over two years to achieve a composition that is “timeless, feminine, comforting and quietly powerful.”
The bottle design echoes the tactile world of Raymond’s atelier. Its cobalt blue fluted glass is inspired by antique crystal jars gifted by her mother, while the cap draws from the brand’s iconic Sloan Ring, hand-carved in wax and refined for the perfect feel and weight. “I approached the fragrance the same way I approach jewelry; every detail matters,” Raymond said. “I wanted the flacon to feel like a keepsake, something to be treasured long after the fragrance itself is gone.”
Raymond hopes the fragrance becomes part of the wearer’s story. “My hope is that when someone wears this fragrance, they feel a quiet confidence,” she said. “It was created to be lived in, to move with you through life’s moments both extraordinary and everyday, and to serve as a gentle reminder to find beauty in all of them.”
Priced at $685, Briony Raymond’s debut fragrance is available now at the Madison Avenue atelier and brionyraymond.com.
