Goat is continuing its partnership with Art Basel.
The Los Angeles-based shopping platform for sneakers and apparel is embarking on the second year of its partnership with Art Basel as the official uniform partner. Goat is joining forces with ceramics artist Diana Yesenia Alvarado to design and produce the uniforms. The uniforms will debut at Art Basel Miami in December and then will be followed by art fairs in Hong Kong, Basel and Paris next year.

This partnership between Goat, Art Basel and Diana furthers our initiative to merge the disciplines of art and fashion, while supporting artists and showcasing their talents on a global scale.”
Alvarado is known for her work combining her Mexican heritage with her childhood memories of Los Angeles. She was inspired by mythological creatures for the uniforms and aimed to bring a “quiet strength and curiosity” to her designs.

“This collaboration feels like a natural extension of my practice while also opening new avenues for creative exploration,” Alvarado said. “Working primarily with clay has taught me to understand form and texture on an intimate level, but I’ve often wondered how my ideas might translate into something wearable — something that moves with the body. Creating artwork for this project allowed me to bring my visual language into a more immediate medium. The partnership resonates deeply with my commitment to creating work that’s rooted in connection, both to people and place, making this collaboration feel like an important next step in my journey.”
As part of the uniform, Alvarado designed a tote bag that features an airbrushed color design. Additionally, Alvarado’s pieces will be available to shop in-person at the Art Basel Shop. Last year Goat teamed with American artist Kandis Williams to design the Art Basel uniforms.
