Following years of development, Lake is launching its BalanceKnit collection. The comfort-infused lifestyle label‘s new curation of sleepwear features temperature-regulating technology designed to adjust as body temperature changes. The collection is now available on Lake’s official website.
“When we began developing BalanceKnit, we weren’t looking to create a technical fabric for the sake of innovation. We wanted to solve for an unmet need while staying true to the beautiful design and comfort that customers have come to expect from Lake,” Anne Read, cofounder and chief executive officer of Lake, said in an exclusive statement.

“37.5 Technology allowed us to introduce temperature-regulating performance without compromising on the softness, ease and elevated feel that define the brand,” Read said.
“Women’s body temperatures naturally change throughout the night, and everyone’s sleep environment and comfort preferences are different. BalanceKnit was created to adapt to those natural fluctuations, whether you tend to sleep warm, cool, or somewhere in between.”
The BalanceKnit 37.5 technology has been used in mattresses and bedding and is naturally derived from minerals that respond to the body’s fluctuating temperatures. Excess heat escapes the fabric as the body warms and retains heat when the body cools. Now, it’s finding its way into pajamas and sleepwear.
Along with other collections and designs like CloudPima and DreamModal, the BalanceKnit collection is designed to integrate seamlessly into Lake’s existing sleepwear styles while incorporating new technology for a wholly unique sleep experience that prioritizes a new element of comfort.
BalanceKnit marks the latest long-term franchise for Lake and will continue its expansion. Six initial styles feature in the collection, ranging in sizes XXS to XXL and price points from $108-$158.
Cofounded by Read and Cassandra Cannon in 2014, the Savannah, Ga.-based lifestyle brand’s initial designs featured a simple stripe and 100 percent Peruvian Pima cotton fabric. Along with its online store, Lake has brick-and-mortar retail spaces in Atlanta, Charleston, Palm Beach and Southampton.
