Fashion Forward Week will return for its second edition on Feb. 2-6 at 2 Park Avenue in New York.
FFW’s mission is to place storytelling and inclusivity at the heart of the fashion experience.
This season’s centerpiece is a special fashion presentation by Nicole Miller, who will weave together different decades of her life and career in a fashion show. The presentation will feature 12 looks from 12 archival collections. The presentation will include an AR experience through Perfect Corp., where guests will be able to try on the clothes in the presentation to post digitally on social media.
Patchwork, a manufacturer-to-consumer supply chain platform for small and mid-sized fashion brands, is one of the innovations being featured at the event.
In addition, Fashion Forward Week will spotlight 14 brands from around the world, with designers and founders representing the U.S., Morocco, India, the United Kingdom and other places, celebrating diverse perspectives, creativity and cultural exchange.
Among the brands participating are Pilot, Richard Alexander Cooke, Learheracci, Gio Levin, Rebel Roots, SDN, Sean and Val, Intuition Kicks, La Bottega di Layla, and Releve by Emily Burnett, as well as Tampa Bay Fashion Week collective including Ajéad by Daeja Anderson, Bhavna Kanakia, Colors House of Fashion by Sana Hassan, and Elizabeth Carson Racker.
Throughout the week, Fashion Forward Week will host a series of stage talks. Speakers include Miller, alongside the founders and chief executive officers of all participating brands, who will share their Day One stories, creative journeys and insights into their supply chains.
During the event, artists Jason Naylor and Mira Miami will create live paintings. Once completed, the artworks will be available for guests to bid on site, with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting The Mental Health Coalition, founded by Kenneth Cole.
Fashion Forward Week is founded by Jordana Guimaraes and her partner, Christopher Hunt.
