Formula 1 driver Oscar Piastri signed with IMG Models. The 24-year-old F1 driver for the prestigious McLaren F1 Team has amassed a successful career thus far in the motorsport arena and looks to expand his reach with new modeling opportunities with IMG’s agency.
Born and raised in Melbourne, Piastri won seven Formula 1 Grand Prix over the course of three seasons. Career highlights for Piastri include helping team McLaren secure their first Constructors’ Championship since 1998. At the age of 24, Piastri is the 15th Australian to have ever started a Formula 1 race.
Piastri also led a highly successful junior career, which included winning three consecutive championships across Formula 2, Formula 3 and Formula Renault Eurocup after he began racing remote control cars as a child.

Over the course of the last few years, F1 has seen a major rise in popularity across the globe, thanks in no small part to the Netflix docudrama “Drive to Survive,” which debuted on the streamer in 2019. Since then, interest in motorsport has only grown, raising the profiles of such stars as Lewis Hamilton and more.
More recently, F1 had a major moment in the cultural zeitgeist with the debut of the film “F1,” starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris. Idris, who spoke with WWD about making the film and his major Hollywood break, drove F2, F3, F4 and electric vehicles, adapted to look like F1 machines. The actor “felt like flying,” he told WWD.
Fashion has also taken a distinct interest in F1. In October 2024, LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton inked a 10-year deal as a global luxury partner of the motorsports championship. The partnership officially kicked off in March with the Melbourne Grand Prix.
