Bergdorf Goodman drew a crowd of fragrance lovers on Wednesday evening with the opening of a pop-up on its beauty floor introducing the first Madame Grey home fragrance collection, called Collection No.2 the Zodiacs.

The collection features 12 celestial candles inspired by astrology, ritual and the passage of time. Also launched was the brand’s latest parfum edition, Mme. Grey, Now for Traveling.

“I have always felt that Bergdorf Goodman is part of our story,” said Casandra Grey, founder of Madame Grey. “Madame Grey is inspired by the iconography and timeless allure of New York City, and nothing quite punctuates that point like Bergdorf Goodman.”

“The opening-night energy was electric, and we’re already seeing meaningful early interest,” said Marigay McKee, cofounder of Fernbrook Capital and cofounder of Violet Lab, which produces Madame Grey products, a day after the event.

The pop-up runs through the end of this year and features the brand’s complete fragrance portfolio, including the Madame Grey extrait de parfum priced at $1,100 and produced in a limited edition of 1,000 bottles handcrafted in France. Also displayed is the Pour Cheveux Strip-Tease, described as “a delicate transformation of the signature extrait into a lightweight hair mist, designed to leave an ethereal, lasting trail.”

The Zodiacs, developed with astrologer-in-residence Karen Thorne and perfumer Jérôme Epinette of Robertet, are hand-poured in England and composed of a natural wax blend and finished with a pewter crest lid inspired by the personal heirloom from the Madame Grey estate.
