Halle Berry made a dramatic entrance during the closing night of the Red Sea International Film Festival in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The actress opted for an intricate Elie Saab gown, which featured bell sleeves and gold brocade embroidery layered over black tulle. Berry’s dress originally debuted on the runway during Saab’s fall 2023 couture presentation in Paris.
Berry was assisted by her longtime stylist, Lindsay Flores, who’s also known for dressing stars like Christina Applegate and Maggie Q. Makeup artist Cinzia Carletti gave Berry a bronzed glow and a nude lip, while hairdresser Sara Seward styled her ombre tresses in an updo with fringe.
The actress was accompanied by her partner, singer-songwriter Van Hunt, who she’s been dating since 2020.
One day earlier, Berry channeled metallic tones again during a Q&A at the festival. She paired her satin peak lapel Alberta Ferretti suit with black platform sandals, gold jewelry and an emerald lace bralette.
Berry wasn’t the only American star to attend this year’s Red Sea International Film Festival. Adrien Brody, Gwyneth Paltrow, Nicolas Cage and Michelle Rodriguez made appearances, as did Brits Henry Golding, Jason Statham and Andrew Garfield.
Launched in 2019, the Red Sea International Film Festival supports the film industry in Saudi Arabia in the production and distribution of films, as well as education on cinema.
