Latin American luxury fashion brand Hippólito has opened its first U.S. store in Coral Gables, Fla., a vibrant suburb of Miami.
The 2,440-square-foot unit at 2617 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, marks the fourth unit for the brand, following openings in Santo Domingo, Punta Cana and Casa de Campo in its home country of the Dominican Republic.
Hippólito got its start 40 years ago in the Dominican Republic as a manufacturer of guayabera shirts. Since then, the company has expanded into a full lifestyle brand of men’s and womenswear, offering dress shirts, suits and jackets for men, and blouses, dresses, shirts and pants to women with a tropical color palette and bold prints. Sizes run the gamut from small to XXL in men’s and XS to XL in women’s. Prices range from $150 to $1,800 for the ready-to-wear collections.
The brand uses high-quality materials such as Irish linen, which is known for its breathability and natural moisture-wicking properties and the linen is ISO 14001 certified, which ensures responsible product practices that prioritize sustainability. The company offers an all-linen resort collection for women that is a perennial bestseller. Other items are made from Loro Piana fabrics.
