Nike’s Mind franchise, featuring a mule and a sneaker with calm-inducing nodes, has come out of the gate hot by selling out wherever it’s been offered. New colorways and restocks of the initial ones are already highly anticipated, and Hiroshi Fujiwara has teased a collaboration that will only add to the excitement.
The Fragment x Nike Mind 001 was posted to Instagram by the studio’s founder and designer. The majority of the slip-on is blacked out, including the placement of the Fragment logo above the foot. Fragment’s signature shade of blue is then used for the outsole nodes, as well as the branded heel bubble and insole. Another brand staple comes via product text printed on the lateral side of the shoe beneath the opening.
Nike launched the Mind 001 and Mind 001 Thursday, and the two silhouettes promptly sold out on its website and through third-party retailers. Ten years of development went into the technology in the footbed, which is intended to be worn pre- or post-game, with pressure points scientifically proven to have a calming and focusing effect on the mind.

By studying perception, attention and sensory feedback, we’re tapping into the brain-body connection in new ways. It’s not just about running faster — it’s about feeling more present, focused and resilient. That’s the next frontier of performance.”
