Jack Miner referenced the past to give commentary on the present for Interior’s fall 2024 collection, taking inspiration from New York City nightlife in the ‘70s, ‘80s and ’90s to address today’s social media era.

“It was a very potent time to kind of observe our woman relative to where we are today as a society and think about a time in New York when things felt like visual personas were valued differently than how we see it today,” Miner said during the brand’s presentation.

The collection presented 10 looks, with each model representing a club-going archetype, such as the model, painter, off-duty ballerina, socialite and call girl. Each look was distinct, yet complemented the others through the use of rich fabrics and a muted color palette of black and neutrals.

Miner explained the collection continues Interior’s design code of subverting sportswear. This was seen through subtle, yet eye-catching details to otherwise traditional silhouettes, such as an oversize pin-striped coat where the pattern was broken up and a romantic navy chiffon dress with an unraveling hem. The styles showed the brand’s expertise is in the details, taking classic styles and making them modern and youthful through these discreet design elements.

The collection offered a balance of feminine and masculine styles, which Interior has become known for. The more feminine silhouettes, like a lace column dress and a bronze silk dress, gave an airy balance to the more masculine layered designs.

The masculine styles showcased Interior’s skills in tailoring. A black denim jacket and matching jeans gave off a cool, yet put together, vibe, while a ‘70s-esque tan suit helped bridge the gap between the past and the present.

Interior’s fall 2024 collection further proved the brand’s skills in offering a balance of interesting masculine and feminine pieces, while building on existing design codes to deliver newness.
