Jewel put a cold-weather spin on one of Gucci’s most recognizable outerwear pieces at the 2025 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thursday in New York, choosing a Gucci lime double-breasted coat finished with full-length beaded fringe.
The coat comes from Sabato De Sarno’s spring 2024 debut, where the silhouette appeared in a sharp, double-breasted cut with a saturated lime finish and extended beading. Jewel’s version followed the same layout: peaked lapels, covered buttons and straight pocket lines that kept the structure crisp against the color.
Along the sleeves and hem, the beadwork shifted in density. The upper portion held a lighter scatter of strands, while the lower half carried fuller rows that built into a long, continuous fringe. The placement created a clean drop from fabric to beadwork without altering the coat’s tailored shape.

For the chilly parade conditions, Jewel added a ribbed white turtleneck and a matching knit beanie. She rounded out the look with white ruched winter boots from R13 — a slouchy, padded silhouette that contrasted the coat’s linear beading.
The Gucci coat traces back to De Sarno’s first outing for the house, a collection he described as an effort to “fall in love with fashion all over again — ancora.” The show aligned his vision with the clean, leggy daywear direction he established early on, and included “1960s-meets-1990s tailored coats, super-short shorts and cute logo rompers and jumpers,” per the WWD review of the show. Within that mix, the beaded neon coat stood out for its combination of precise tailoring and engineered texture — a construction approach that mirrored the broader movement toward high-impact fringe seen across Balmain, Bottega Veneta, Rick Owens and additional spring 2026 runways.
Jewel’s outerwear choice followed rehearsal looks from parade performers, including her own appearance in Rick Owens’ Concordians Runway Factory Boots. For Thanksgiving morning, however, the singer shifted to a full Gucci moment after noting on Instagram that her planned all-white Rick Owens outfit was delayed in customs.
