John Hardy has appointed Aida Alvarez as senior vice president of revenue for the Americas.
She joins the jewelry brand’s global leadership team under the direction of group chief executive officer Jan-Patrick Schmitz.
In the role, Alvarez will be leading the company’s wholesale and retail revenue channels for the Americas.
“Having spent most of my career in the luxury jewelry space, I have been following the John Hardy brand for a long time,” Alvarez said. “I always admired the brand’s rich and unique heritage and commitment to artisanal design. Earlier this year, I saw a refined John Hardy brand begin to emerge. The new look and design direction feels both modern and fresh while continuing to celebrate the brand’s authority in handmade jewelry. The excitement for the brand is greater than ever, and I am honored to join an accomplished team as we continue to build and share the reimagined John Hardy.”
Alvarez has more than 25 years of experience in the luxury goods industry. She has held senior roles at brands like Roberto Coin, Birks Group, CD Peacock and others.
“We are thrilled to welcome Aida to the John Hardy executive team,” Schmitz said. “I look forward to partnering with her on growing our different brands across the retail and wholesale channels. She is a true leader in the luxury jewelry space, having driven top-line sales and profitability for renowned jewelry brands as well as multistore retailers for over two decades.”
The appointment comes roughly a year after John Hardy appointed former Tiffany & Co. and Coach designer Reed Krakoff as the brand’s creative chairman. Krakoff debuted his first collections for John Hardy earlier this year. This fall, John Hardy opened its redesigned New York flagship store.
