Jordan Brand is moving from the hardwood floors of basketball to those of ballet.

The Jordan Pointe is an aptly named new model getting in on the ballerina sneaker trend. The bulk of the upper, as well as the entirety of the sole unit, maintains the familiar build of sneakers. There is no tongue, however, and a ribbon runs through the eyestays across the gap, with enough material left over to tie up around the ankles. A strap also crosses the gap for added security, borrowing directly from ballet footwear.

Official leaked images of the Pointe show the silhouette in monochrome red and blue colorways. The upper appears to be a mix of nylon and leather, while there’s no tell yet on what sort of cushioning is involved.

Jordan Brand joins a crowd of hybridized ballet sneakers that formed one of the dominant trends of 2025. Bad Bunny’s Adidas Ballerina, a new build on the retro Taekwondo silhouette, was one of the leaders of the field that included several offerings from Puma, a fresh take on the Vibram Five Fingers and more.

The sneaker development comes after a longer period of ballet dominance in the broader field of women’s footwear.

Claire Sterling, Adidas Originals senior footwear designer for Culture Collaborations and Partnerships, told Footwear News last spring: “I think the dad sneaker has been overdone a little bit. So I think people wanted a fresher look in something a little bit different, and that’s why they started gravitating back toward the ballet flats and Mary Janes and taking it to where you’re seeing now in the sneaker arena.”

The Jordan Pointe doesn’t yet have a confirmed release date or pricing but is expected to release during the spring calendar. Footwear News will keep you abreast of any updates.
