Kaia Gerber took a style note from her mom, Cindy Crawford. The actress brought her modeling skills to Instagram on Tuesday, striking various poses in straight-off-the-runway strappy pink-and-black pumps from Julie Kegels‘ spring 2026 show. She paired the style with turquoise ribbed leg warmers.

Crawford, alongside Nadja Auermann, Christy Turlington, Claudia Schiffer and Stephanie Seymour, famously endorsed the colorful socks-and-heels combo in a Versace ad campaign shot by Richard Avedon in 1994. The campaign sparked a new footwear trend, which has recently seen a resurgence on and off the runways.

The Julie Kegels pumps worn by Gerber featured a curved heel and crisscross straps in glossy bubblegum pink over black leather panels, creating a cutout effect. A dainty buckle strap wrapped around the model’s ankles. With black stitching along the pink straps, the silhouette had a retro vibe.

As it happens, the model recreated the same look the eponymous designer wore at the brand’s show in Paris late last month. Gerber kept the pastel color theme going with her outfit, slipping into a coordinating pink pleated skirt.

For the top half of her look, the “Palm Royale” actress donned a black cardigan with strong, structured shoulders and ruched sleeves. Gerber amped up the styling by layering a chunky silver cuff over one arm of the knitwear. The model rounded out the look with light-green circular hoops that appear to be resin or ceramic and hang from smaller metal hoops. Gerber pulled her wavy hair back into a messy bun and opted for a light makeup look, shifting all the attention to her colorful outfit.

On the runway, the striking pink-and-black shoes appeared in various looks, styled with everything from a sheer mini dress and ivory tights to a flowy pink slip. The pumps were also seen in more color combos, including black and white and ivory and powder blue. Perhaps Gerber will make a cameo at the brand’s next show.
