Kate Mara opted for shades of blue when it came to her outfit choice for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations presents “Black Mirror” in Los Angeles on April 21. The actress coordinated her shirt and skirt, playing with varying shades of the same color.

For the occasion, Mara wore a blue-embroidered striped shirt and navy tricotine miniskirt by Prada. The sleek skirt featured slightly flared lines and front patch pockets. The piece also featured small embellishments with a refined logo-engraved button closure, featuring the Prada name embossed on the dainty buttons.

Mara’s striped skirt tucked into her miniskirt and featured a line of white buttons running down the front. The thin stripes featured shades of white and sky blue, and the ends of Mara’s collar featured embellished gold buttons with the Italian luxury fashion house’s name embossed. The shirt also featured the Prada sigil in black.

To complete her look, Mara wore a pair of black loafers. As for her accessories, the actress kept things simple, opting for a few silver cuffs around her ear. Whereas several famous faces have opted for their take on the power suit for such daytime or business casual events as of late, Mara’s choice of ensemble suggests a more playful approach.

Indeed, Mara’s Prada ensemble combines the best of business dressing with the playfulness and femininity of the miniskirt.

In March, Prada Mode’s The Double Club, the brand’s immersive pop-up installation conceived by artist Carsten Höller, in collaboration with Luna Luna, hosted a bevy of stars who all seemingly coordinated in miniskirt looks. Milla Jovovich, Letitia Wright and St. Vincent were among the celebrity guests who fashioned miniskirts for the Prada Mode event.
