Katie Holmes made the case for fall hues on Monday while attending a screening of “Pieces of April” in New York. She participated in a Q&A alongside costars Patricia Clarkson and Derek Luke, as well as the 2003 film’s director, Peter Hedges.
Holmes selected an emerald mock neck rose print top by Rachel Comey, pairing it with metallic indigo crushed leather mules by the same brand. The actress also added on black washed jeans, completing her look with a crocodile-embossed A.P.C. handbag and rectangular frames.
Wearing her highlighted brunette tresses in natural waves, Holmes’ makeup included mauve blush and a matching glossy lip.

Holmes has a close relationship with A.P.C., having collaborated with the French label on a capsule collection in June. She’s also been photographed wearing the brand on multiple occasions.
“I have loved [A.P.C.] since I discovered it,” Holmes said in a statement following the release of her capsule. “The simplicity of design is born out of sophisticated consistency to details and form. A.P.C. is not only elegant in life, but I have also used it many times for costumes in film as its classic design is timeless.”
Holmes took inspiration from the A.P.C. archives in Paris, debuting sandals, jeans, miniskirts and blouses, as well as a patchwork quilt based on a design by her own mother.
“I love vintage and truly enjoyed stepping into the memories of A.P.C. garments of the past,” the actress continued. “Bringing the inspiration from collections from the early 2000s and working to make them modern and relevant to the 2024 customer was such a joyful and satisfying experience.”
