Katie Holmes brought Chloé’s retro-feel Cleia sandals into a softer red carpet setting Saturday, attending the “Happy Hours” premiere during the 2026 Tribeca Festival in the black patent silhouette.
The Cleia features a cut-out T-strap silhouette with gold-tone cabochon studs running down it. The patent pair’s pointed black patent upper has delicate side cutouts, while the adjustable ankle strap and heel boast Chloé-engraved gold-tone hardware. The retro-feeling silhouette stands on a 2.8-inch curved stiletto finished by a bauble-like, gold-tone cap.
Holmes, who wrote, directed and stars in the film, wore Chloé’s black patent calfskin Cleia heeled sandals with a satin column dress from the French house. The pairing put one of Chloé’s more retro-leaning heel shapes against a dress that stayed in a the house’s signature boho romantic language.

The dusty rose-hued dress was crafted with romantic details, including short puff sleeves and lace across the neckline and upper bodice. Thin ties dropped from the neckline of the bohemian-leaning silhouette, giving the dress a slightly undone finish against the high-shine black heels.
The look continued a very specific Tribeca week for Holmes, who has been moving between classic shoe shapes with small construction details. On Friday, she attended Chanel’s Tribeca Festival Women’s Luncheon in Chanel cap-toe slingback pumps, pairing the black goatskin and grosgrain heels with dark gray jeans, a white T-shirt and a white Chanel 25 bag. Earlier in the week, she wore Malone Souliers’ $595 Koko embossed thong sandals with wide-leg denim, after choosing a dressier Herbert Levine thong sandal for the American Ballet Theatre Spring Gala in May.
Holmes wrote, directed and stars in “Happy Hours,” playing Liz, a recently divorced photographer who reconnects in New York with Andrew, a travel writer played by Joshua Jackson, years after their high school romance ended abruptly. The film also brings Holmes and Jackson back onscreen 25 years after “Dawson’s Creek.”
