One of the most coveted Air Jordan collaborations of all time is reportedly set to return in 2027 with a new look.
According to Sneaker Market Romania and @brandon1an, a Kaws x Air Jordan 4 Retro SP is set for a summer 2027 launch in a new Dark Gray colorway. While in-hand images have yet to surface, the sneaker’s Dark Gray color coding could indicate a similar look to one of the collaboration’s previously released styles in Cool Gray.
The link-up between Nike Inc.’s Jordan Brand and artist Brian Donnelly — better known as Kaws — began in March 2017 with the limited-edition release of the aforementioned Cool Gray look. A second colorway in black, which used the same glow-in-the-dark outsole and subtle allover art print, followed in November 2017.

The 2017 Kaws x Air Jordan 4 Retro SP featured a full suede upper, which extended throughout its midsole — a first for the 1989 Michael Jordan model. It also omitted the Air Jordan 4’s signature mesh netting, replacing it with hairy suede paneling on the tongue and side panels.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Kaws sneaker without some of the artist’s signature flair, which included his “XX” logo at the heel, stitched hand graphics throughout the upper and a hand graphic pattern on the outsole.
Despite reports of a new Kaws x Air Jordan 4 Retro SP collaboration, it’s not yet been confirmed if the 2027 iteration will feature the same design and detailing as its 2017 predecessors.
The Kaws x Air Jordan 4 Retro SP Dark Gray is expected to be released during summer 2027 for a retail price of $500. The upcoming sneaker’s style code is JU4624-002. Readers can find a full look at the 2017 Cool Gray iteration courtesy of GOAT in the gallery below.
