Keira Knightley looked ready for spring at Tod’s presentation in Milan yesterday. The actress arrived in a white strapless gown from the brand’s spring 2025 collection.

Knightley opted to wear a deconstructed take on the strapless dress, in a white check ensemble with a midi hem and a folded over neckline. She paired the Tod’s dress — look 35 from spring 2025 — with the brand’s gold hardware-topped leather clutch bag, black pumps in Nappa leather, and a gold bangle.

Last spring, white dresses were one of the breakout trends of the season with monochromatic white looks populating the runways of Chloé, Gucci, CarvenPradaStella McCartneyLoeweJil Sander and Akris. Buyers were all in on the trend too, with Linda Fargo, women’s fashion director for Bergdorf Goodman, telling WWD that new iterations in “all-white felt important and a fresh reason to buy.”

Knightley has favored white strapless dresses and looks throughout her career, including at the 2006 Golden Globe Awards, which she attended while wearing a white Valentino gown that hailed from the brand’s Spring 2006 collection. Knightly also, famously, wore a white off-the-shoulder crop top with low rise bootcut jeans, which was a defining moment of Y2K style.

Knightley has been mixing it up style-wise over the past few months while promoting her new Netflix series “Black Doves.” In December she wore a polka dot dress with a statement collar courtesy of Valentino‘s spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection for her “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” That same week, she also stepped out in a graphic black and white floral dress from Erdem‘s spring 2025 ready-to-wear collection while attending the Como 1907 vs. Roma soccer match in Como, Italy with her husband James Righton.

The Tod’s fall 2025 show also brought out Shailene Woodley, Rachel Brosnahan, Kiki Layne, Carla Bruni, Shanina Shaik, Chae Jungan, Clarice Cazauran, Bach Buquen, and more.
