Keke Palmer kept her run of archival Dior moments going at the 2026 Film Independent Spirit Awards on Sunday, choosing a vintage skirt set from John Galliano’s spring 2004 collection in Los Angeles. The ceremony took place at the Hollywood Palladium, where Palmer arrived as a Best Lead Performance nominee for “One of Them Days” and later presented during the show.
Palmer’s two-piece look paired a halter corset top with a draped pencil skirt in a pale buttercream hue. The fitted bodice featured an allover lace overlay, structured cups and a narrow keyhole cutout at the center front. A wide halter strap framed the neckline and fastened at the back of the neck, while through the torso emphasized the corset construction. The coordinating skirt combined lace and satin with curved, overlapping panels at the front. A larger satin panel gathered and folded toward the left side.

The pieces traced back to Dior’s spring 2004 ready-to-wear collection, where Galliano sent out lace-and-satin looks alongside tattoo-print mesh sleeves, studded handbags and platform heels as part of a heavily embellished runway lineup.
Palmer’s version appeared to pull from two different runway looks: the corseted halter top appeared in one look under a layered lace, and the draped skirt construction showed up in another.
Palmer finished the set with glossy Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps. A slim bracelet, stud earrings and a delicate necklace kept the accessories minimal. For glam, she leaned into an Old Hollywood finish, styling her pixie cut in defined waves. The look was styled by Molly Dickson.
The Spirit Awards appearance also extended Palmer’s winter streak of Galliano-era Dior. Earlier this month, she wore a pink Dior fall 2003 dress from Galliano’s tenure on an episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” and in January and February 2025 she wore vintage Galliano pieces on “Late Night With Seth Meyers” and at Vanity Fair and Instagram’s Vanities party, including another Dior spring 2004 dress.
