Kerry Washington brought a regal energy to the BAFTA Film Awards 2026 red carpet on Sunday in London, wearing a custom Prada design.
Washington opted for dark elegance with a sweeping navy dress from the Italian house. In deep midnight blue, the dress featured a fitted bodice adorned with an ornate sequin-and-bead design. Meanwhile, the thinly pleated skirt flowed into a dramatic train.
Washington’s Prada dress also featured delicate straps and an open back. This custom moment follows Washington attending the brand’s spring 2026 show in Milan in September. She has an ongoing relationship with the label, having previously worn Prada at the 2025 NAACP Image Awards, among other occasions.
Although she isn’t a nominee at Sunday’s awards show, Washington nonetheless had a major 2025 when it came to her film projects. The actress joined filmmaker Rian Johnson’s “Knives Out” universe with an appearance in his latest film in the series “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.”

Throughout her promotional tour of the film, Washington styled Old Hollywood-inspired gowns and modern metallic looks. She first sported a shimmering silver Oscar de la Renta number at the film’s London premiere in October, followed by a luxurious Zuhair Murad design at the November Los Angeles premiere.

Actor Alan Cumming hosts the 79th annual BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday, featuring the stars and creative teams behind 2025’s biggest films. “One Battle After Another” leads the nominations with 14 nods, with “Sinners” close behind with 13.
