Lauren Sánchez channeled a Grecian goddess to attend the North American debut of the “Von Furstenberg: Woman Before Fashion” exhibition on Tuesday in Los Angeles at the Skirball Cultural Center.
The former news anchor wore a long white maxi dress with gold hardware detailing along its straps paired with fawn Christian Louboutin pumps. She kept her hair and makeup minimal, letting her seductive dress shine.
Diamonds dangled from her wrist and earlobes, but her 20 to 30-carat cushion-cut engagement ring from Amazon executive chairman Jeff Bezos stole the spotlight. The couple are longtime friends of Von Furstenberg, having thrown their engagement dinner at the fashion designer’s home last year.
2024 has been full of seminal moments for von Furstenberg, who celebrated the 50th anniversary of her iconic wrap dress this year.

The milestone came as a documentary on her life, “Diane von Furstenberg: Woman in Charge,” was released on Hulu. And, after first being unveiled at the Fashion & Lace Museum in 2023 in Brussels, where the designer was born, the retrospective has arrived in Los Angeles.
Opening on Thursday at the Skirball Cultural Center, a Jewish institution founded in 1996, the show explores von Furstenberg’s career from the 1970s to today. More than 50 garments from the designer’s archives, alongside items including the designer’s artwork, interviews and essays, will be on display.
The exhibition delves into her personal life, sharing her history as the daughter of a Holocaust survivor, with new artifacts “offering additional perspective on the factors that shaped her life and work,” notes the museum.
In August, the 52-year-old fashion house disclosed that by the end of 2024 the operations will be managed in-house again, WWD reported. Graziano de Boni, who joined DVF in October 2023 as chief executive officer, will be overseeing all aspects of the business.
