A transparent toe strap kept Lily Allen’s Valentino pumps in the clear shoe conversation while still reading as classic black suede.
The “West End Girl” singer arrived at Valentino’s spring 2026 couture show as part of Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday, wearing a full runway look from Valentino’s spring 2026 collection (Look 5), including the shoes.
Allen’s stilettos combined a black suede upper with a sharply cut peep-toe front. A narrow, transparent band — likely PVC — sat straight across the toes, revealing her dark pedicure while the rest of the foot stayed enclosed in suede and sheer black hosiery.

The rest of her look also stayed faithful to the runway. Allen wore a rust satin blouse scattered with inky polka dots, finished with puffed shoulders, gathered sleeves and extended cuffs that covered part of her hands. A black velvet bow at the neckline complemented the texture play of the shoes. She tucked the blouse into an olive green velvet pencil skirt with front ruching. Oversize tortoiseshell sunglasses and small green bag, also with a textured finish, completed the outfit.
Dual-textured footwear has been a staple in Allen’s shoe wardrobe as of late. In December, she hosted a Christmas party in London wearing white feather-trimmed platform heels that matched a Santa-inspired mini dress and robe. Earlier this month in Los Angeles, she stepped out in Chanel’s spring 2026 pre-collection slingbacks in iridescent and smooth lambskin for a Coco Crush dinner at Chateau Marmont.
Her latest Valentino pair slots neatly into the ongoing transparent shoe trend, which has kept PVC straps and clear panels on red carpets and runways for several seasons. By pairing a single see-through band with a suede pump shape, the style nods to “naked” footwear without abandoning the structure of a classic stiletto — a directional, front-row-ready take on a theme that luxury brands continue to revisit.
