Lily James opted for a romantic look to the “Lyonesse” press night party on Thursday in London, wearing a gray Emilia Wickstead dress with a gathered bow in the center.
The party celebrated a new play that James stars in. She is usually styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray.
James’ gathered wool-blend dress was from Wickstead’s spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection. “The clothes were coquettish and comfortable with a masculine edge, a radical departure for Emilia Wickstead who built her business on formal, tailored clothing,” WWD reported on the collection in September.
The actress last wore a fall-inspired look in October to the press night performance of “Stephen Sondheim’s Old Friends.” There, she layered a sleek black trenchcoat over an artistic body-con dress.
James has also made recent ventures into the jewelry industry, tapped to star in the Natural Diamond Council’s 2023 “To Treasure Now and Forever” campaign. Exclusively reported by WWD, the images showcase the “Pam & Tommy” actress wearing four styles of pieces comprised of natural diamonds.
“After visiting Botswana and seeing the positive impact the diamond mining industry has on the surrounding communities and ecosystems, and learning about what goes into sustaining them, it made me want to be even more intentional with the diamond jewelry I wear,” James told WWD exclusively in September.
“Lyonesse” is showing at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London through December. In the play, James portrays a young film executive alongside actress Kristin Scott Thomas. The play was created by Penelope Skinner and the current production is directed by Ian Rickson.
