LONDON — To celebrate a decade of its Puzzle bag, Loewe has released the Puzzle 10 collection, a jigsaw of 19 archival bag designs, as well as one new one — all exclusively sold at Harrods in the U.K. until June 22.
The roughly 400-square-foot pop-up takes cues from the brand’s eclectic Casa Loewe stores. Emphasizing craftsmanship and design, walls are clad in jewel-like tiles and the reeditions are nestled in velvet-lined alcoves.
In the space, visitors can watch an in-store artisan demonstrate the handiwork behind making the bag and get up close and personal with the collection. Reissued designs include the first fully realized edition of the bag, which debuted at Loewe’s fall 2015 womenswear show.
There’s also the black and white polka dot Puzzle bag from fall 2018 — just in time for the resurging polka dot trend — and an embroidered leather bag inspired by artist William De Morgan from Loewe’s 2020 pre-fall collection.

The capsule’s new design puts together the historical pieces of the signature bag, and is hand-embroidered with thousands of multicolored leather pieces, akin to confetti. The label said the new handbag references its fall 2023 womenswear show featuring artist Lara Favaretto’s confetti cube installation.
The activation extends outside, where shoppers can peruse Loewe’s six window installations inspired while sipping on coffee and munching on limited-edition Loewe Puzzle chocolate from a branded van on Hans Crescent.
The Puzzle bag was dreamt up by Jonathan Anderson during his acclaimed 11-year tenure at the brand. The Northern Irish designer stepped down from Loewe in March and has since been named Dior’s creative director of women’s, men’s and haute couture collections.
Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the duo behind New York fashion brand Proenza Schouler, succeeded Anderson and are set to present their debut collection in the fall.
