Lola Tung arrived at the Prime Book Club Live event in Australia on Wednesday morning with an avant-garde hairdo and lavender-toned blush. The 22-year-old, best known for her role as Belly on the trilogy turned TV show series “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” spiked her dark brown tresses in a half-up, half-down peacock train pinned down in the back of her head.

Lola Tung poses with spiky hair at Machine Hall in Australia for the Prime Book Club Live event on Wednesday.

Tung’s front layers were slicked across the right side of her forehead and brushed behind her ear; her short ends protruded out underneath. The abstract style mimicked the intricate floral beading on her double-layer minidress, colored in a periwinkle-lavender hue. Tung has consistently worked with celebrity stylist Dana Boyer, whose client list includes “A Complete Unknown” actress Monica Barbaro and Meghan Fahy; however, it’s not certain whether Boyer was behind Tung’s Prime Book Club hairdo.

Similar to her soft glam in Season Three of “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” premiering with new episodes every week on Prime Video, Tung kept the products on her face to a minimum on Wednesday morning. She, instead, let her hair do all the talking. Tung’s sparkly rose gold shadow was undercut by her signature black top eyeliner across her lip, while her cheeks were coated in a delicate blush tinged with red. Her lips were dressed in pink gloss and her eyebrows were gelled away from her eyes. Tung often taps bicoastal makeup artist Misha, who also works with the likes of Daisy Edgar Jones, Molly Gordon and Dakota Fanning.

Misha and Tung collaborated to create a rare, “Euphoria”-esque eyeliner aesthetic for “The Summer I Turned Pretty” season three trailer premiere back in June. Here, Tung embellished her normal everyday black cat-eye with a mirrored bottom wing jetting out from her waterline on both eyes. Meanwhile, her inner corners were stamped with a white translucent shimmer, creating the illusion of water-drenched eyes.

So far in the current season of the fan-favorite summer drama series, Tung’s character Belly still doesn’t have her love life figured out, but she does have her makeup down. Belly’s relationship with beauty has seemingly matured over the course of the series, resulting in what can only be described as a natural aesthetic now. She wears her trademark top eyeliner, but an even-toned base mutes the rest of her face.
