Look Optic has added a new personality to its roster of collaborators.
BirthFund founder, journalist and author Elaine Welteroth has designed a new frame shape called the Davis, which is available via Look Optic’s website in five shades.
Welteroth is the latest in a line of collaborators that has included Eva Mendes, Diane Keaton, Alex Rodriguez and more.
“We drew inspiration from icons who changed how power looks simply by owning their bold perspectives that helped us all see the world, and our roles in it, in a new way. The new Davis frames offer a timely nod to that legacy in a way that feels modern and stylish but grounded in substance,” Welteroth said in a statement.

The collection was inspired by activist Angela Davis, which the company said “reflects Elaine’s long-standing belief that fashion is more than personal style, it is a vehicle for identity, empowerment and storytelling.” Prices range from $68 to $98.
“There’s a sophistication to Davis that feels elevated but accessible,” Andrew Leary, founder of Look Optic, said in a statement. “Elaine pushed us to think about proportion, tone and presence in a very editorial way. The result is a frame that feels intentional, something you wear as part of your identity, not just utility.”
