Lupita Nyong’o capped off her “The Odyssey” press tour with a look by Diotima on Thursday night’s episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
The Oscar-winning actress, who’s collaborated with stylist Micaela Erlanger over the course of the international press tour, wore a coordinated design from the New York-based brand’s fall 2026 ready-to-wear collection, designed by founder and creative director Rachel Scott, who also serves as the creative director of Proenza Schouler.
The look featured a cropped top with a scoop neckline and a bevy of subtle shimmering embellishments added to the black fabric in a mesh style. The top was coordinated with a high-waisted skirt with plenty of volume and fringy elements that provided a greater textural experience of the ensemble.

Nyong’o added a pair of black pointed toe pumps, and accessorized with shimmering jewelry pieces, including bracelets, rings and a pair of drop earrings. The actress’ hair was styled by Vernon François, with makeup provided by artist Nick Barose.
This Diotima design made its runway debut during New York Fashion Week in February 2026. The fall ready-to-wear collection took inspiration from artist Wilfredo Lam, “whose work, shaped by Afro-Cuban symbolism, Caribbean spirituality and European modernism, carries a political and cultural consciousness,” Thomas Waller wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.
“Organza intarsia on dresses, all made by hand, was an evolution of an idea from spring, but here much more exaggerated and muted in color. Fine-gauge merino knits, jacquards and wool-silk digital prints brought an austere depth,” Waller wrote.
“At times, color was deliberately withdrawn, her show notes explained — faces of fabric appearing drained, only for intensity to reveal itself on the inside of garments.”
Nyong’o stars alongside Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway and Zendaya, among others, in the ensemble cast of “The Odyssey,” filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of the epic poem by Homer. The film follows Odysseus, played by Damon, as he struggles to return home to Ithaca following the Trojan War. “The Odyssey” is now in theaters.
