Marc Jacobs is adding to its sneaker rotation.
The New York-based fashion company has released its newest low-profile silhouette, the 400 Bleecker Runner. Named after the original Bookmarc location at 400 Bleecker Street in NYC, the retro-inspired sneaker plays off a classic bowling shoe.
According to Marc Jacobs, the new low-profile runner is slim and lightweight with a flexible nylon upper, complete with leather and suede detailing. It’s now available in three colorways – Blueberry, Shortbread, and Bumblebee – and retails for $228.
The 400 Bleecker Runner is the newest edition to Jacobs’ budding roster of sneakers. In August, the designer released the 72 Spring Sneaker, which aimed to merge vintage sporty flair with a feminine silhouette.

At the time of the release, the company noted that the 72 Spring Sneaker blends “nostalgic details with contemporary innovation, showcasing a dynamic profile that’s as performance-ready as it is visually striking.”
The classic trainer style is characterized by a custom dual-density insole, which provides exceptional comfort and support. It’s also available in various materials including denim, suede and leather models.
Shoe collaborations were also in the mix for Jacobs in recent months.
In November, Marc Jacobs‘ famous Kiki boot got a fresh reinterpretation with the help of Dr. Martens. For this collab, Dr. Martens reinvented the style with its signature Corran-heeled sole, laddered silver buckles and custom lock-and-key charms, which reference the labels’ past collaborations.
And in September, Marc Jacobs teamed up with Converse to reimagine the footwear brand’s signature Chuck 70 through the lens of celebrated artists Derrick Adams, David Shrigley, and Hattie Stewart. The project, which was part of Jacobs’ “Joy” series, saw the sneakers transform into a wearable canvas of creativity through the eyes of each artist.
