Margot Robbie has established herself as one of Hollywood’s major power players. In 2013, the Australian actress had her breakthrough role in Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street,” in which she starred opposite Leonardo DiCaprio.

The following years would see the actress star in major films, including “Suicide Squad,” “I, Tonya” and most recently, the billion-dollar box office hit “Barbie,” where she played the title character. “Barbie” earned Robbie her fourth Golden Globe acting nomination.

From 2018 to 2022, Robbie was a global ambassador for Chanel, which saw the Hollywood actress don many of its gowns and dresses on the red carpet during that time frame. With the end of her Chanel contract and the “Barbie” press tour this year, Robbie began experimenting with her style more and has worn looks from Versace, Schiaparelli and Fendi.

With the Golden Globes less than a month away, WWD looks at Robbie’s past ensembles for the ceremony in anticipation of what she will wear at the upcoming awards on Jan. 7.

Robbie, a Chanel ambassador at the time, wore a fall 2019 couture look from the brand, including a bustier crafted from 4,750 sequins, which took more than 200 hours to create, and a white satin crepe skirt. The dress took 750 hours to complete and incorporated 30,000 elements of embroidery, including sequins, bugle beads and feathers.
