Meghan Markle paid homage to Colombia on Sunday with her latest look during her tour of the country with Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex spoke onstage at the Afro-Descendant Women and Power: Voice of Equity panel alongside Colombia’s Vice President Francia Márquez.
For the event in Cali at the Teatro Municipal, Markle opted for a piece by Colombian designer Silvia Tcherassi, who founded her luxury fashion brand in 1991. The Duchess of Sussex wore the Blair Sequined Midi Skirt, which featured a shimmering sequin design with a bevy of ornate, romantic florals throughout.
Keeping the skirt the centerpiece of her sartorial ensemble, Markle opted for a sleeveless cotton shirt by Mango and purple suede pumps by Manolo Blahnik.

When it came to her jewelry selection, Markle chose delicate pieces that complimented her sequin skirt. She wore pieces by Cartier and Lorraine Schwartz.
Markle’s skirt comes from Silvia Tcherassi’s pre-fall 2024 collection, which examined roughly 30 years of the Colombian designer’s intricate pieces. Selections in the pre-fall 2024 collection also highlighted luxurious silhouettes and dress codes.
“From the archives, what we look for is always intricate details and trying to present the highest form of luxury of the brand,” Mauricio Espinosa Tcherassi, Tcherassi’s son and the brand’s chief commercial officer, told WWD in December 2023. “And, of course, to also show as a global brand that presents four collections a year, that can dress a woman in the city, that can dress a woman in every aspect. That’s really what we’re aiming for with this collection.”
Since moving to California after stepping back as a senior member of the British royal family, Markle has stepped into her quiet luxury era. During her trip to Colombia, she wore pieces from Victoria Beckham, Veronica Beard and more.
Prince Harry and Markle arrived in Colombia on Thursday to attend events and support endeavors in the country focusing on protecting children from online harm. This is the couple’s second official international trip this year. In May, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made a trip to Nigeria.
