A rare unreleased Air Jordan sample that first surfaced 15 years ago is said to be headed to retail for the first time ever.
According to @zsneakerheadz, Sneaker Files and Sneaker Market Romania, the Air Jordan 3 Retro Khaki is set for a summer 2027 launch. The unreleased style first surfaced in 2011 and has reappeared in various forms in the years since — including a mismatched 2013 version which was paired with a denim indigo look — but at times seemed like the sort of pair that would never be released to the public. That will reportedly change in June.
The Air Jordan 3 Retro Khaki features a smooth suede upper in a khaki tan shade that’s contrasted with navy accents on its elephant print, eyelets and embroidered Jumpman tongue logo. The navy shade is also seen on the heel’s visible Air unit, while the outsole gets a full gum rubber look — a first for the Air Jordan 3, which has previously paired gum rubber with colored segments.

The first public release of the Khaki colorway isn’t the only recent Air Jordan 3 news of note. The classic Michael Jordan model will soon be released in a new women’s-exclusive “Sports Renaissance” colorway which adds never-before-seen details to the sneaker including mismatched panels and double shoelaces. Come Christmastime, the Air Jordan 3 is set to debut in a new “Not Nice” makeup. And also in ’27, the sneaker’s beloved original White Cement style is set to return in its original form.
After a lengthy window from its first appearance to now, the Air Jordan 3 Retro Khaki will finally be released on June 12 for an expected retail price of $215 from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Jordan Brand retailers. With a colorway of Khaki/Multi-color/Multi-color, the sneaker’s style code is CT8532-203.
