Michelle Williams was in attendance at the 2025 Manhattan Theatre Club Spring Gala, which took place at the Cipriani 42nd Street on Monday in New York City. She chose a pair of popular Yves Saint Laurent heels for the occasion.

Williams wore Generation Love’s Blaine sequin dress. The figure-hugging strapless dress is composed of a boned bodice with a wired V at the center, and features a brown sequin embellishment throughout. The midi dress ended right around her ankles, and displayed a high slit.

For shoes, the singer went for a familiar pair of stiletto heels she has worn on more than one occasion. Williams wore the Yves Saint Laurent Opyum sandals in beige with gold accents. The heels are balanced on an interlocking golden YSL logo heel, and feature a dainty ankle strap and one strap on the upper. While the heel wasn’t entirely visible, the shoes are recognizable thanks to the elongated square open-toe design and the d’Orsay silhouette on the back of the heel.

The Saint Laurent Opyum heels and sandals, characterized by the iconic YSL logo on the heel, were introduced during Paris Fashion Week in September 2017. The YSL logo, which makes the shoes a standout, has been a prominent design element for the fashion house since 2012.

Williams recently wore the pair during an outing with Beyoncé in March, and prior to that, she wore the sandals for an appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” in November. Williams has been busy promoting her turn as the star in the Broadway musical adaptation of “Death Becomes Her,” playing the role of Viola van Horn. The role was originally played by Isabella Rossellini in the 1992 film. The stage musical adaptation opened on Broadway in November.

The Manhattan Theatre Club Spring Gala is a long-running annual event that includes a cocktail reception, a dinner, and a one-night-only show featuring performances from many of the season’s most exciting Broadway musicals.
