Noelia Voigt was crowned Miss USA 2023 on Friday. She received the crown from Miss USA 2022 Morgan Romano of North Carolina, who assumed the crown after R’Bonney Gabriel won Miss Universe 2023.
Voigt was born in Florida to an American-Venezuelan couple. The 22-year-old is a licensed esthetician and a certified lash technician.
Previously, Voigt won Miss Teen Florida in 2018 and Miss Alabama Collegiate America in 2020. She also competed in four more pageants before running for Miss Utah.
Final Question
Noelia Voigt’s final question at the pageant was, “As the brand ambassador for Miss USA, what will be your contribution to the organization?”
The now Miss USA 2023 answered, “I believe the ability to connect with people is an incredibly important asset that a Miss USA should have. The United States of America is an incredibly diverse country, probably one of the most diverse in the entire world. So being able to connect with everybody is important. As a bilingual Venezuelan-American woman, I plan to connect with that community of people because the United States of America is a diverse country and a Miss USA needs to be able to represent every community no matter their background, their race, their ethnicity, anything and I would like to be that Miss USA.”
The pageant
The Miss USA pageant was held at the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, Nevada. The event was hosted by Keltie Knight and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton and featured 51 women competing in different rounds, including swimsuits, evening gowns and interviews.
Beauty entrepreneur and founder of One/Size Beauty Patrick Starrr, fashion designer Nicole Miller, actress Vivica A. Fox and model Emina Cunmulaj Nazarian were the judges of this year’s competition.
Miss Hawaii Savannah Gankiewicz won the best state costume award on Thursday. The inspiration behind her costume was the banyan tree of Lahaina. “The banyan tree of Maui survived the worst fires in American history in over 100 years,” Gankiewicz wrote on Instagram. “This costume pays tribute to the roots of Hawaii and everlasting cycle of life showing the indomitable spirit of the people of Hawaii.”
Who owns Miss USA 2023?
2023 is the first Miss USA contest organized by JKN Global Group, owned by Thai transgender entrepreneur Anne Jakrajutatip, which purchased the Miss Universe Organization in 2022. Laylah Rose assumed the roles of president and chief executive officer of Miss USA and Miss Teen USA in August.
“My goal as the head of this organization is to inspire women to always create new dreams, have the courage to explore it all, and continue to preserve integrity along the way,” Rose, the founder of VVV Global Ent., said in a statement.

Miss USA 2022
Morgan Romano of North Carolina assumed the Miss USA 2023 title after R’Bonney Gabriel won Miss Universe 2023.
“The main thing that I will miss about this job is the people,” Romano wrote on Instagram on Thursday. “I have connected with so many amazing people who have all left a piece of themself with me. Who I am has slowly been molded through each encounter that I have had this year. Something about the sash makes people open themselves up to you and share who they are and their story. I have learned more than I ever thought possible from the vulnerabilities of so many strangers who quickly taught me deep empathy, love, and understanding for everyone around me.”
