The “Top Gun: Maverick” actress embraced the barely-there sandal aesthetic, fitting in with the rising barefoot footwear trend. Barbaro showcased a black bare-bones sandal look featuring a strap across the toes, a slingback strap, a round toe and a stiletto heel. Simple slingback sandals like this can be found from a range of brands with examples including Jimmy Choo, whose Jenn sandal strongly resembles Barbaro’s shoe; Aquazzura, home of the So Nude sandal; and Gianvito Rossi, whose Ribbon sandal is a popular style.

Barbaro’s barely-there sandal was paired with capri pants, one of the hottest items in fashion at the moment after gaining steam in 2025. She wore a black skin-tight high-waisted version of the revived garment, with a thin belt cinching the waist that added a hint of extra sophistication to her look.

As they reclaim their space in the fashion scene, capris can leave wearers wondering which shoes to style them with — they typically fall just below the knee and reveal more of the leg than the average pant. Slimmer styles including ballet flats and classic flip-flops work well, in addition to heel styles revealing more of the foot, like a mule, slingback pump or heeled thong sandal. A classic pointed-toe pump can work too.

Barbaro completed her outfit with a tonal layering of tops, modeling a red scoop-neck tank tucked into her capris and a pink scoop-neck garment beneath that.
