Marc Anthony and his wife, Nadia Ferreira, arrived on the red carpet for Fashion Group International‘s Night of Stars 39th annual gala on Tuesday in New York City in a dramatic Marchesa gown.
Ferreira wore a one-shoulder sleeveless organza ball gown with a gathered bodice, peplum drape, pleated A-line skirt, sweeping train and exposed back. She accessorized the look with a set of diamond statement earrings.
For makeup, Ferreira adopted a matte look with a smokey eye.
Anthony kept it traditional in a black suit and white shirt, sans tie. As the rules of formalwear have evolved, more men have been opting for suiting looks with no ties. Statistics have shown tie production has been in decline over the past decade overall. From 2014 to 2019, the shift to more office casual dress codes saw a decline in annual tie production from 30 million ties in 2014 to 13 million in 2019.
Anthony has been in the spotlight since the ’80s as a musician, but this year, he elevated his fashion profile thanks to his partnership with Bulova. On Monday, Bulova announced it was expanding its partnership with Anthony for a new timepiece collection including a range for men and women, with a core collection and a series of limited-edition watch and jewelry lines that will roll out over a three-year period. Bulova first teamed up with Anthony last year. At this year’s FGI Night of Stars Gala he received the Humanitarian Award.
Ferreira, a former Miss Universe Paraguay, married Anthony this year. Earlier this month on an episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Maluma discussed how he was a groomsman at Anthony and Ferreira’s wedding.
