Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever may have had their WNBA championship dreams quelled Thursday, but the star’s Nike Caitlin 1 signature sneaker story is just getting underway. Following Thursday’s debut launch of the “Caitlin Blue” and “Warning Code” colorways, Nike wasted little in readying the next installment of Clark’s first shoe.
Set to be released Oct. 14 is the Nike Caitlin 1 “Midnight Fever,” the most vibrant look to come to the model thus far. The shoe features a bright Hot Punch/Neo Pink colorway, which translates to a pink gradient fade across the sneaker’s signature Opticast upper.

According to Nike, the eye-catching colorway is a nod to Clark’s 22nd game in the league in which she became the first WNBA rookie to ever record a triple-double. For Clark, who wears number 22, it was a serendipitous moment that also made her the first Fever player to notch a triple-double.
“Obviously, it’s cool. My teammates have been finishing the ball [at a] really, really high rate. My assist numbers, that’s because of them,” Clark said following the record-setting 2024 game.
Following months of anticipation, Clark’s signature Nike Caitlin 1 sneaker finally made its retail debut Thursday and quickly sold out in a majority of sizes.
During Nike’s first-quarter 2027 earnings call on Thursday, company president and chief executive officer Elliott Hill said the Caitlin 1 was “the largest women’s signature shoe launch in Nike’s history,” adding that this model will launch in 5,000 doors — twice the average amount for a Nike signature basketball shoe.
“We had a tremendous launch today with Caitlin and Caitlin is just part of the women’s business,” Hill said. “Our women’s business was up over 600 percent over the last few years. So it’s a new opportunity. We see the women’s game helping us dimensionalize the overall basketball business between A’ja [Wilson] and Sabrina [Ionescu]and now Caitlin.”
The Nike Caitlin 1 Midnight Fever will be released Oct. 14 for $140 from nike.com and select retailers including Dick’s Sporting Goods. The sneaker’s style code is IH7423-600.
