It’s been over five years since Nike last collaborated with Netflix on an official “Stranger Things” collection but now, with the series-culminating fifth season set to debut in November, it looks like the two brands will once again be teaming up on special-edition footwear.
New images have surfaced of an upcoming Stranger Things x Nike Dunk Low in an overly descriptive Phantom/Midnight Navy/College Gray/Varsity Red/Lemon Drop/Dark Smoke Gray colorway (style code IH6766-001).
Said to be one of two Stranger Things x Dunk Lows that will be released this holiday season, the pair pictured here features a vintage-inspired, heavily pre-aged treatment with cracked leather, yellowed tongues and shoelaces and a soil that looks like it’s been scuffed and soiled from repeated wear. All things considered, the appearance of the pre-patinaed pair is not too far off from Nike’s viral Dirty Triple White Air Force 1.

Beyond the faux distressed appearance, the upcoming collaboration features numerous “Stranger Things” references including co-branding on the insole. Elsewhere, the shoe’s various branding hits including the heel and tongue have been flipped upside down, a callback to the show’s “The Upside Down” alternate dimension. The pair also features the addition of a “Nike 1987” badge near the uppermost eyelets, a reference to the setting of the show’s upcoming fifth and final season.
Nike’s previous “Stranger Things” collaboration was introduced in 2019 and included several sneakers and apparel inspired by the hit series. Footwear models from that collection included the Blazer Mid, Cortez and Tailwind 79.
In addition to the style pictured here, the Stranger Things x Nike Dunk Low collaboration is expected to include a Black/Speed Red/Varsity Red/Anthracite colorway (style code IH6766-002). Images of that pair have yet to surface, but it will likely feature a similar theme as the Phantom pair.
The Stranger Things x Nike Dunk Low is set to be released this holiday season to coincide with the November and December releases of “Stranger Things 5” on Netflix. An exact launch date for the sneakers has not been confirmed, but readers can expect it to arrive around the same time as the show. A retail price of $155 is expected for each pair.
