A few days after resigning from the Miss USA 2023 title, Noelia Voigt attended the red carpet opening of the “People: Celebrating 50 Years” exhibition on Thursday in New York. She wore a long-sleeve body-con midi dress courtesy of Club L London at the event.
Voigt’s dress featured an off-the-shoulder neckline with gathered fabric and draping over the shoulders. She paired the dress with metallic and translucent platform heels and statement earrings. She also carried a sparkling silver clutch.
Voigt’s chocolate brown hair was styled with a soft wave by Zullay Sevilla. Her look was curated by stylist Lisa Cameron, who’s also worked with reality TV stars Serena Pitt and Hannah Godwin, among others.
Voigt’s appearance at the New York event marks her first red carpet outing since she announced her resignation as Miss USA 2023 on May 6.
The former pageant queen took to social media to publicly disclose her decision. “In life, I strongly value the importance of making decisions that feel best for you and your mental health. As individuals, we grow through experiencing different things in life that lead us to learning more about ourselves,” Voigt wrote in her statement.
“My journey as Miss USA has been incredibly meaningful, representing Utah with pride and later the USA at Miss Universe. Sadly, I have made the decision to resign from the title of Miss USA 2023,” she wrote, adding, “I realize this may come as a large shock to many. Never compromise your physical and mental well-being.”
Voigt became the first Venezuelan-American woman to win the Miss USA pageant on Sept. 29. Prior to competing in Miss USA, the Florida-born licensed aesthetician and a certified lash technician was named Miss Teen Florida in 2018 and Miss Alabama Collegiate America in 2020. She was also crowned Miss Utah in 2023.
Following Voigt’s resignation as Miss USA, Miss Teen USA 2023 recipient UmaSofia Srivastava announced her resignation from her post on Wednesday.
