One of Hollywood’s most famous blonds is officially a redhead.

Pamela Anderson, whose platinum hair has long been part of her signature look, debuted a copper-toned bob while attending Paris Fashion Week on Sept. 29. The transformation was created by celebrity hairstylist John Nollet, who reimagined Anderson’s cut and color for her upcoming role in “Love Is Not the Answer,” scheduled for release in 2026.

According to Nollet’s press release, he “drew inspiration from Marlène Jobert’s haircut and Venetian red hair in her cult roles of the 1970s, imagining a red hair color reinvented in a contemporary, luminous, elegant version.” The finished look is described as “a bold reinterpretation of a ’70s cut with an alchemical blend of reds, luminous and signature of Nollet’s elegance and style.” The layered, shaggy bob with soft fringe shows off the gingerbread hue from every angle, creating movement and depth.

The shift is a striking departure for Anderson, but it also aligns with her ongoing beauty narrative. Last year, she went makeup-free at Paris Fashion Week, a decision that challenged expectations of glamour and sparked a wider cultural conversation. This season, the copper bob feels like the next chapter: bold, natural, and, as Nollet’s team puts it, “sunny, natural, and resolutely elegant.”

Copper hair has been everywhere lately, showing up on everyone from Kendall Jenner to Megan Fox. What makes the shade so appealing is how customizable it is. “Because this color generally has a natural background tone to it, a person’s natural color can be the background tone, giving the shade a very customized, skin-tone-flattering tone,” LA-based celebrity hairstylist Cherilyn Farris previously told us. In practice, that means strawberry-leaning tones tend to pop on fair skin, while richer, bronzed reds look gorgeous on deeper complexions.

One of the easiest ways to maintain your color is with hydrating masks. Farris is a fan of the Oribe Masque for Beautiful Color ($52) and pigment-depositing conditioners. We’re fans of Good Dye Young’s DYEposit in Copper ($12) or the beloved Christophe Robin Shade Variation Mask in Chic Copper ($53). These work by delivering a small amount of pigment to the hair with each use to perk up dull copper.

Anderson’s turn to copper proves that reinvention never goes out of style. From her blond bombshell days to her bare-faced appearances at Paris Fashion Week and now her redhead debut, she’s rewriting her beauty story on her own terms. And honestly? We couldn’t love it more.
